Getting into gear…

Hi Folks,

Long time no post! Yes, I’ve been on hiatus, partially because I reached burnout and partially because I learned how to sew with my sewing machine and thus have been enjoying using this other creative skill of mine, but fret not as I have gotten back into drawing! Yay! Sorry for the long delay, but sometimes that how things go. I am really enjoying working on Fuzz Society Issue #3 and am working toward my end of October release in time for the next (Winnipeg) Central Canada Comic Convention, or C4 as it’s called. I hope to see some new faces come by to check out my artist booth at the con and to say Hi It’s a lot more fun after all having people to chat with and of course, to sell some comics to. So I’m happy to say, page 1 is pencilled in and I’m ready to move on to page 2! You thought I might say page 21? Not quite, lol! But it’s a start. Just thought I’d check in and let you know that I haven’t forgotten about you, my wonderful fans and Lyra!

Average Jill

Hello Readers,

I know I said before I would post about my 24-hr comic, Average Jill, so here it is! My comic is more geared towards women and teenage girls, though it could be enjoyed by others as well. This humourous look at the life of a female named Jill takes place in her teenage years, through dating, marriage, child bearing and parenting years. I took all these events out of everyday funny stuff that’s happened to me so far. If you’re a parent of young children you’ll be able to relate to the different funny stuff of my family, and as a female, you can no doubt relate to the different things that we as females must face in different walks of our lives. Each comic was made on the spur of the moment, and each has it’s own witty caption for your reading enjoyment! Just a reminder that I’ll be going to the Central Canada Comic Convention here in Winnipeg, Manitoba at the Winnipeg Convention Centre, Friday October 29 – Sunday October 30th, 2011. I’ll be selling my latest issue of Fuzz Society (#2) and my 24-hour comic Average Jill, as well as my first issue of Fuzz Society. Please come out, even if you’re not looking to buy anything there’s going to be tons to do and see, including many cool guests – William Shatner, Jonathan Frakes, and many more! So stop by and say hi if you happen to come by. It’s going to be a fun time!!

Hi Everyone,

Sorry it’s been a while, took a mini vacation from drawing, and also had a busy weekend! But I’d like to let you know that this issue is almost at an end, and as it comes to a close, I’ve realized that I need to work more at my own pace, so I will be posting the rest of Issue #2 soon, then the rest of my comics will be posted for sale as they are completed. However, I also just got an exciting new art table to use, so look forward to other art coming your way! Yay! Stay tuned this week for photos and of course, the next page of Fuzz Society! Love and War

Here’s page 8 of Fuzz Society, sorry it’s late, I did put in my time last night and the night before, but for whatever reason I couldn’t get my scaling down right, so each time I went to draw it took me forever to get anything done! Plus, I started getting a head cold/sore throat, and stayed up until morning for you guys (my fans), but I had to call it a night. So here’s the page, enjoy the love and war scene that goes on between Lyra, Bob, and Phyllis! ;P

Since its been difficult to keep up with the pace of having updates so close together, I’ve decided that starting now, I’ll be updating Fuzz Society on Tuesdays and on Fridays. This way, there’s more time between for me to get things done, plus you still get your comics semi-weekly so everyone wins! Thanks for your understanding and for your continued support.
